Might as well have a thread...

Cheap 91 Sami

All stock.

First was to replace the rear end and fix the broken driveshaft, oil change, and clean her up a bit...

I have put 3400 miles on her in the past 2 months... I am averaging 28mpg.

New wheels are at the machine shop. Have LT235's sitting here. New shackles are on the way...

Getting crazy with it...

Some Trail Tough shackles, F150 wheels fresh from the machine shop, some LT235's, and a touch of trimming on the front bumper...

****er is ready for the Rubicon!

Can you take a few pics of how the fiberglass top over the driver attaches? My second sammi I just bought has the same top/style... But isn't mounted... Not sure if I'm going to turn mine into a Daily Driver(I just bought it for the toyota axles, then figured I'd resell it with my locked sammi axles under it)... So... Keep it as a DD, or sell it off and let it be someone else's project... ;-)

So the Sami was down for a few weeks...

Throw out bearing made noise from day 1, but everything finally went to ****, and I didn't have time to fix for a while...

Ordered;
New LUK clutch kit
New Flywheel

Task was going easy, until I tried to put the new flywheel on.. no hole in the back for the index pin off of the crank. ****.

Off to the parts house to get the old one surfaced.

All said and done, one of the easiest clutch jobs I have ever done. No need for jack, bearing puller, etc..

Fresh fluid in the tranny and T case :)

Easy peasy, and works like a champ now :)
