dana 70 pros and cons ???

i know that a dana 60 is the ever sought after axle to have but what about a dana 70? 60's are like a grand and i can pick up a 70 for 500 bucks. what pros or cons might there be? i know it has drum breaks on it but that can be changed easily enough. only info i have right now is it is a 70's dodge dana 70 front axle.

They're boat anchors...like running a 14 bolt bolt.

They also have a huge center section that likes to drag on everything.

yah i understand that but are they as strong or stronger than a 60? or are they not even worth picking up?

the only difference between it and the GM Dana 60 next to it is the ring gear diameter. Most Dana 70 front axles we see have closed knuckles and drum brakes and use 23-spline shafts. You can pass on these guys because they are from mid-
