Danner Boot Sale

Hardline Crawlers - Rock Bouncer Builds, Tech & Off-Road Trail Talk

Help Support Hardline Crawlers:

They used to be fantastic. In general, they're still pretty good for an off-the-shelf boot. They've significantly expanded their product line in the past 10-15 years, adding cheaper boots that are made overseas. They still make some excellent boots, but take a lot of flack because the $100 made-in-China boots don't match up with the Danner reputation from 20 years ago that was built on $300 handmade boots.

I've owned at least a dozen pairs from the whole range of the price spectrum. There are a couple that I wasn't pleased with, but for the most part, they are a good value for me. I still have and wear several different pairs of Danners almost every day.

I wear other brands too, because the brand is less important than the fit. And for some reason, the Super Rain Forest with a safety toe doesn't fit my foot. So when I need a tall boot, I wear Georgia 8340s that I LOVE.
