I have a miller 211 mig that does a really good job. The only downfall i see to the hobarts is tapped voltage settings, so you dont have as much adjustability on your heat, you have to fine tune it through the wire speed.

If you are on a tight budget you may look at some of the chinese machines. AHP is one of them and welding tips amd tricks did a review on their alphamig unit and spoke highly of it. I just bought one of their alphatig's to learn how to tig on and it seems like a great machine. Especially for the price point. And it actually has a 5 year warranty vs. A 3 year on my miller

I've got an Everlast MTS250S. Does what it's supposed to do very well.

Scored if off of Amazon for half price because the package was damaged, it had a quarter size hole in the cardboard.
