You could get a straight axle square body truck up till 91-92. They were called V and R series trucks after 88 ( the ifs trucks were C/K series)

I saw one on one of the trader groups on Facebook the other day, crew cab dually 4x4, it was lifted, on ab 38-40's and had been cummins swapped. I'll see if I can find it again. I love those old square body trucks

I want the V series which is the 4WD or the old K series either way both are the same truck. Looking for a nicer truck to eventually do a Cummins/5spd swap to my farm truck/tow rig.

I have a 2wd with a 454,t400, almost no rust and only 1 big dent in the passenger door. Runs, shifts and drives like new. If your swapping a motor trans and case in a front axle wouldn't be much more work. $2500 takes it
