The map doesn't do a great job of defining the first section of trail that goes parallel to pats trail (one that was recently worked on)--is that part of upper mainline?

Yup...Upper is the trail that runs to the entrance of Expressway, and travels on past out to the clearing and connects back up with Expressway at the other end, what used to be the Rock Garden...you know, where I popped my birf! :redneck:
