Another winter, another new car. With the addition to the family a year ago the time has come for J. Treacy to build himself a 3-seater to accommodate his new son. (never too early, right?) Space was at a premium with the last car and it was going to take too much to modify it to fit three seats.

Build thread for the last car: http://www.pirate4x4.com/forum/showthread.php?t=931422

Much of the drivetrain from the previous build is being re-used except for the rear steer. That axle is going to hang around just in case he decides to install it. A new non-steer full float is going in this one.

Motor: 5.3 w/LS1 intake; Kevko oil pan

Axle, rear: Spidertrax Spider 9 housing and shafts; Mega Hi-9 third, 5.40 ratio www.spidertrax.com

Tire/Wheel: 39" BFG Krawlers/17x8 Trailready HD Series beadlocks http://www.trailready.com/wheels_HD.html

Shocks: Fox 2.5" coilovers

He had a two day head start before I could make it over with the camera. When I get done posting pics tonight he will have worked on it about five days total so far.

Not much distance in the 'shop' between the tools and the build.
