What is involved in swapping DRW hubs to SRW hubs on a Chevy Kingpin 60 front? Can Ford parts be used? What are the differences? How much width do the DRW hubs add to each side versus the SRW hubs?

Here's the scenario: I have a SRW Kingpin Ford 60 front. I want to run H1 double beadlocks without recentering them. I am going to narrow the long side 6 inches total so that the spring pad widths line up exactly with the YJ frame width, then I was planning on running 2" or 2.5" spacers on both sides to make the width match the SRW 14 bolt I have, and to avoid clearance issues with the tierod mount with the H1 wheels. Also, this would tuck my hubs in to keep them out of harm's way. This is the perfect setup for me.

My brother (Co-Man-Che) is looking at buying a Chevy Kingpin 60 Front for a project, and has seen some DRW models for a little cheaper. Since I need the extra width in the hubs for the H1 wheels, we thought maybe he should buy a DRW Kingping Chev 60, and we would swap the necessary parts to make my Ford 60 DRW and make his Chevy 60 SRW.

Is this a reasonable plan? Again, how much extra width do the DRW hubs add, and is this swap do-able without major machine work or modification? I know the spindles are different, my Ford uses 5-bolt spindles and as far as I know the Chevy uses either 6 or 8 bolt spindles... can the rotor/hub assembly be swapped from spindle to spindle, or are the bearing surfaces different? Do the knuckles swap? Is this a completely crazy idea, and should I just stick with my original plan with spacers, and tell him to buy a SRW 60?

I don't know about the ford vs. chevy. But DRW hubs (Chevy/Dodge) add pretty much 4" per side. (there might be a small faction in there, but 4" is close enough for most math).

H1 rims have 7" BS, so H1's and DRW hubs would be the equivlent of standard hubs and wheels with 3" BS.

You cannot swap just the wheelhubs as the ford spindle and stub shaft are shorter. You can however swap everything from the king pins out, including knuckles, spindles, brakes, stubs, wheelhubs, ect. Supposedly the chevy knuckles are a little stronger when used with high steer, but not a big deal.
