Well I did some mods, threw on some new parts, and added some new rubber to my rig so I wanted to test it out. WTF was in Elbe this weekend and showed me the dark side. These guys were fun to wheel with and I'll have to find them again when I get back from my 5month training coming up.

Had snow this trip, started early that morning and lasted through the night

I was wheeling with a much more hardcore crew than any other I've wheeled with and it was awesome to finally see some bigger rigs that actually threw down and did the gnarly stuff.

Some of their rigs

Darren's zuk buggy, damn awesome and got a vid of it (not broke all weekend)

Low YJ with frenched spring hangers (broken driveshaft straps)

Wagoneer buggy (still running all weekend) and 4Runner (blown motor, probably rod knock)
IMG_0875.jpg

Another really nice "smaller" CJ, power steering issues
IMG_0876.jpg

CJ Buggy, blown 60 front chromos... :eeek:

You can barely see it, but this 4Runner rolled but the cage held up perfectly

Well if you'd give me a minute to make the 2nd and 3rd posts you'd see the action :flipoff:

Then there's my rig, which is pretty small on 35s
IMG_0881.jpg

A couple big buggies showed up and wanted to run busy, so we followed them to watch the show!

The red cruiser had a log shove itself between the front axle and frame, taking it out of the game
IMG_0912.jpg

The other red rig was on 2.5 rocks and had hydro shocks and steering, very cool rig! He was only running 38s so he couldn't get up the first big hill
IMG_0913.jpg

Said hill that also denied Darren both days. Both guys gave it hell though!
IMG_0915.jpg

My carnage from the day, had to take it off and bend it back. Not sure when it happened but I was just waiting for it to bend all the way since my last trip.

The motor in the Runner wasn't blown. It started up and ran fine after you guys headed off for the busy. Not sure what the issue was the night before. Got the week off though, so I'll get it figured out.

Was good to meet you. Sorry my rig was broken by the time you got their.. Cant wait to wheel with you... Ur TJ looks very capable..

Looks like a good time was had by all.

Also looks like time for some HD steering linkage for the TJ there.

Yep, looking at a stock ZJ unit, they're supposed to be much beefier.

Good to hear it, I've rebuilt a 22R and it's easy but still sucks...although if I had to do it again I would have just tossed in a SBC.

Glad to meet you and the other WTF members there! I'll have to come out on a Saturday so I can see all the carnage next time :D Thanks for the compliment, my TJ is coming along and it tries to keep up :haha:

Sort of met you, I was a little hung over Sunday morning...:redneck:

Sorry I couldn't stick around... Had to get back to the homestead for some family stuff this morning and didn't want to try getting out of there Sunday night...

No problem, glad to meet you too. You guys were fun to wheel with, I learned quite a bit by seeing some bigger rigs!

Sorry I didn't get to meet ya, I was massively hung over and didn't get up til right when you guys headed up to the busy!:redneck:

:awesomework:Thanks for the vids boss. It was good meeting you. Which we could have wheeled together on the trails. This is Chris (Pickle) with the blue jeep on 44" boggers. Thanks again for posting vids and hope to see you on the trails again, for sure,:awesomework:

sorry I didn't meet you either...I had the jeep with the yellow beadlocks... we got in saturday morning about 4am from wheeling was a little hung over ...hope to meet you next time nice tj

I was gonna go that route myself and decided to save myself the trouble and ordered a Currie HD steering setup. You want to talk about beefier. Little spendy but definitely worth the $$$.

Likewise and your rig is a beast! I'm making it a priority to wheel with you guys again when I come back :awesomework:

From what I remember it was fun.

So I heard :D

Looks like a great time. Its crazy to see how much tire size matters. That Jeep on boggers was money.

Both of those bigger rigs were awesome to watch, there's just too many logs in there from people stacking and they end up causing more damage to rigs that don't need 'em. You can even see them in the vid of my TJ, throwing logs on the driver's side. IMO, if you can't make it, don't stack, build your jeep bigger :haha:

Thanks! You'll see me again. I'll have to stick with you on the smaller stuff since your rig is closer to mine in size...sort of. Haha

True, Currie stuff is awesome, but I bought a welder for a reason. The girlfriend promised to get me a MIG when I get back since I bought her a new phone. I'm asking for a Hobart 187 so hopefully I'll be making my own stuff entirely from now on.
