My nephew had an engine rebuilt by them a few years back.... Engine looked top notch. About 3 months after it threw a rod and cracked the block, they wouldn't touch it or warranty it. Said my nephew ran it out of oil.....

I would/will never give them my business again but thats me. Best of luck if you go with them.

I have installed 3 of there engines with no issues. My first one was about 3 years ago and still no issues. I don't like hearing they don't stand behind there products tho!

From what I understand they will if they install it. If not they only have a 90 day warrantee. Left a bad taste in my mouth.

For people that haven't heard of him/them: http://seattle.craigslist.org/see/ptd/3804241072.html

I haven't dealt with them directly, but the subject came up among some Land Cruiser folks that know more than I do. In the past, the ad used to state that they used all new parts OEM or better, blah blah blah, and listed what they replaced.

The listed price for a reman'd 1FZ-FE was lower than a dealership's cost on just the listed parts. Which leaves 2 options:
1) an obscure, low-volume engine builder in Gig Harbor gets better prices on Aisin parts than the nation-wide network of Toyota dealerships, or
2) he's lying about which parts get replaced and/or the quality thereof.

:hmm:

It was enough to leave a bad taste in my mouth.

They are suppose to have a 24 month warranty on them if installed by yourself. Ive never had an issue to cross that road on tho, so cant say they stand behind it.

Why chance it when Patrick builds a great engine.

x2. He even cleaned my oil pan, valve cover and gave me factory bolts that I needed. Excellent customer service and great engine.:awesomework::cool:

I bought my engine from them and still running strong after 2 yrs. I even had a problem with the waterpump housing on it they replaced it for free. I do believe it was a 12 month warranty if you installed it and kept track of the mileage and type of oil used(they suggested synthetic after braeak-in). Overall I have had a good experience with them.
just my 2 cents worth

Thanks for the feedback, I will definately let everyone know if it's a bad experience..
