Flipped Dana 70's Front & Rear with ARB's, Crane Knuckles & C's, RCV 300m Shafts, etc.
Ballistic Coilovers, Bypasses, Bumps, Joints and Misc Brackets
Mastercraft 3G Seats
8 Total Lightforce Lights (6-HID & 2-Halogen)
Grote Rear Facing Lights (Red & Amber)
42" Pitbull Rockers on 17" Allied Monster Beadlocks

Jimmy went all out and made a fixture table to make everything perfectly square, pretty pimp

Everything is solid mounted to the chassis

Next up is some of the aluminum work Jimmy has done for this rig. I know he has spent a lot of time recently working with aluminum and since he doesn't have a press brake, he welds it all and then grinds it down. True artwork and very time consuming

Awesome progress....Just a couple weeks ago it was still a bare chassis....Looking nice!!! I love the light bar on the back and the brightness of the front lights will be very helpful...

I might be wrong, but I think the 35k number is in PARTS only. plus I'm pretty sure there's another couple k in random stuff.


I"m sure jimmy will chime in here sometime on the $$ figures.


was at the shop tonight, its coming along quickly. I finished up the vast majority of the wiring tonight. (my 1 responsibility... see I am good for something.) just a few loose ends to tie up later this week.

Over 40k in parts alone. I believe the point is, if you really watched it, and used old school stuff IE: small block, np205 cut down 60's it would be possible.


The Propane was not my pick at all. However, Cary at got propane said it will feed the motor dynoed right at 500 hp/tq. The simplicity is there for sure though. Think about finishing the race not squeezing another 20hp out of the motor.
The motor is pretty bad to the bone, full Chromo rotating assembly all roller, with brodix heads, mild cam. The kicker is ATK said full warranty on it even with race application. Told me run it at 7000 rpm for as long as needed.

Who cares how much money it cost? Its cool In the Auto Industry the assembly lines make the same thing everyday and if you go to a different plant and different MFG. You can see something that looks to be the same but it want be. Thats why we have choices for different MFGs.

piston velocity per inches of wheel travel. Lets say you want 20" of rear wheel travel with a 40" link. Either put a 20" shock on there, or put a 10" shock halfway up the link. Or a 15" shock 1/4 of the way up the link. Out at the end of an arm rotating at a given cycle per min, the velocity is the highest out at the end. on a merry go round if you're at the outside, you might be going 20mph, while a guy near the center is barely moving. Getting your piston in the shock going slower is the object. The other thing is running 16's and getting BIG travel numbers. Now it takes way more spring to make up for this because its a lever. It is also pretty sensitive to small changes. Look at the werock promo buggy in gen 4x4 on pirate. Theirs are closer to the pivot than the axle it seems front and rear .

Honestly I think propane is not a bad choice for the race given all the damn rules with fuel cells, check valves, filler necks, splash guards, etc. Now I think carrying/getting enough propane out there for pre-running and the pit crew is going to suck, but tech should be easier.

Also the shocks are mounted to the links a lot of times for packaging in addition to that paragraph that Kelly added. When you have 2.0 CO and a 2.5/3.0 Bypass sometimes with resys mounted to the shock it can be hard to find a place to put em...

LightForce 170 HiD's on the lightbar. Lightforce 140 non-HiD's for headlights. all using 12volt.
