Three of us headed over from Eastern WA this weekend to camp and wheel at Evans. Anyone else gonna be around wanna meet up with us and maybe show us around a little? We've got a map and I've been there before a long time ago, so we'll make it one way or the other but it's always fun to go with someone who knows their way around.

We'll be towing over a silver JK with big RockRidge4wd stickers and 37's, a white YJ on tons and 42's, and a Toyota pickup in blue. Should be in a dark green superduty with a camper and flatbed, and a newer dodge with a long enclosed trailer. If ya see us, come say hi.

Not sure if you heard but there is a width restriction 80in, it would be a long day if you came over just to find out you dont fit on the the trail.

I'm well aware of the width restrictions at Evans. My rig is 78" outside tire to outside tire. The others are about the same or narrower.

:awesomework:

Had a great couple days out at Evans. Showed up real late Thursday night (well, Friday morning) and set up camp, we were the only ones around most of the day Friday, ran 311, upper 311, 196-197 and down 198, then back to the start of 520 and ran that to 519 to the log pile and back down to the road.

Saturday we woke up to just a light dusting of snow with more coming down. Saw a few more rigs coming in the main road on the way out to the main entrance (anybody on here?). Ran 102, then went back down to camp to drop off the Toyota truck and load up everyone in both rigs, went and ran 196-197 again, then UP 198 (thanks to the guys that pointed us in the right direction at the intersection of 197 and 198) to the top and back down. Got a few pics, and we had Kevin's Go-Pro with us most of the time so when he gets the videos posted I will put a few up here.

Pierce County Search & Rescue came in and set up camp on Saturday morning for a training weekend for their quad and side-by-side group, so we got to talk to a couple of those guys for a bit. By the time we got all loaded up and headed out on Saturday afternoon, there was a good 2" of snow on the ground and it was coming down hard. Looked like the SAR guys were in for a chilly night camping out in tents. :redneck:
