First buggy build

So the first picture was the day I went for maiden voyage with all the new parts,

Next I had to narrow my winch to fit better in between my frame rails. Frame rails on center are 24". (built my buggy small, won't build that small again)
So I took an inch and 3/4 out of the drum.

After narrowing I got it mounted and had to shorten my synthetic line down. I got the shielded line all the way through. Seems really good quality and unfortunately with narrowing the winch I lost about 20' of the 85' it came with.
Light bar moved up and also shortened the length of my bumps up by about 3/4" of an inch.
Just need to found my fair lead and it's game time.

Also new fuel cell is about finished up. The RCI tanks welds where very skeptical and the tank was about 5-6 years old. So had my friend (I cannot tig weld and would take a decent amount of time to be comfortable welding a fuel cell up) drew up my dimensions and added some baffles.
After the tank is pressure tested and leak proof I'll be ready for Harlan in February!

Got some Yukon super joints for a steal of a price check the size difference I had no idea how much beefier these were.

Also got it all back together and running again then yesterday I spent Valentine's Day cleaning up the buggy with my lady friend.
This picture also makes me realize I need bigger tires

Doing upgrades as I have built this buggy already makes me want to start over on another chassis.
New dual pass radiator and mishimoto 2000cfm fan about ready to go in. Be finished up this week and be ready for bear wallow. Then turbo will get put on and I'll paint the axles.
Up in the air about steelit but it looks like it is really good stuff.

Side by side comparison to old radiator. No wonder fan never shut off

Needing some recommendations on an electric water pump. I've come to realization that my 3rz does not have a very capable water pump. What are people running for these?

Turbo install is almost done. Have a few pictures to follow
Took my first go at some stainless tig welding on the exhaust. (Friend of mine did the manifold). Makes me really want to buy a rig machine and get some practice because the welds I have were with maybe 15-20 of practice before I was running short on time
Also picked up a d300 with 32 spline outputs for a steal of a price but no pictures of it.

Is she peeling out yet ? :woody:
Did a little tuning last night, had to do new plugs and wires (i should have done them before) but didn't get it dialed in enough. Tuning some more tonight to get it close then set it on autotune for the weekend at windrock.

Tried to post an "atta boy" several times. Said my post has timed out no matter what I do.

Sweet red compressor housing. The tigged exhaust is awesome. Wish I had the coin to buy a nice machine

Lookin awesome. I love the small pony builds. How many gallon fuel cell??

Thanks. It's come a long long way

The tig machine is actually my neighbors, next thing I'll be buying after I'm satisfied with the buggy.

She should make decent power not anything really to brag about but yeah. And is a 12 gallon/ish cell.

Unfortunately no pictures or videos of the new rig on anything down there at windrock. Buggy did great, had good power and swapping to-16 line to radiator she stayed cool all weekend in the heat we had. Only issue I was having was transfer case kept popping out of gear. From what I've read it's a common problem with the 300 but I was told the guy before me rebuilt it with the jb conversions springs. Not sure if he did because it was popping out every decent. Have to look at that now though
