Well Chop got me set up with a front shaft and I went with 2 friends to ELBE yesterday. I have never ran the busy and my friends wanted to see any changes so we decided to run it. Lots of logging going on. Really takes away from the experience. The run seemed mild but it was nice to see some of the tight/trouble areas. I know they will get interesting with winter weather.
Even with easy conditions, I know I need to weld/lock up the front. I didnt have any trouble areas, I did have to back up and get another run at somthing, but I didnt have any traction issues. I do know that if I want to run it in say a month from now, ill need to get some long's, Put some cab and rear of bed protection or face beating them just to manage the upcoming conditions.
I was able to drive good enough lines not to have to winch or get any cab damage, BUT I did rub door 1x time, bed 3x times, got first dent and a friend backed into head light and broke it. What a fun sport.
The sidekick that was with us really had steering issues, why didnt he beef that bar up before we left!!
Not many but heres a few pix.
