A FE motor in a Bronco? Ford never did that.

true. could have been swapped in. pretty common to find old FE motors and 385 series motors swapped into 78-79 broncos

Pics of motor?

Do you have any of the casting numbers on the block?

Basically, do you know that it is a 390? That intake fits any FE motor, could be a 352, could be a 427/428

where r the carsing numbers on a ford and i will get them for you

Re: Re: ford motor trans and transfercase

Here is some info http://www.fordification.com/tech/castingnumbers-FEblock.htm

Apparently its not as easy as just reading casting numbers on a FE.

yea thats a lil bit more than just reading if ur interested i will try to measure the stroke just let me know if u want me too thanks

Nah I was just curious, I have a buddy that might be interested. I'll send him this way

If its a 352 it may still be a good candidate. Some of the early fe 352s had as much output as the 390s in the late 60s especially if it was a factory 4bbl (4v) motor. Im putting one in a rat truck. Check the motor mounts. If it has 2 bolts holding it to the block check further, if 3 then deffinitly check bore n stroke for a 390 otherwise it could be a 360 (less desireable) ALL fe motors have 352 stamped into the front!! Dont stop there.
