You ford haters are going to hate the 2018 Raptor. Twin turbo 5.0 = 600 hp. 2017 gets the twin turbo v 6 = 450 hp. Just saying.

Why would anybody hate that? Those trucks are useless unless you live out west and can actually use it in the desert....which most still don't do. Even with 450 or 600 hp it's still not gonna be that fast. Just saying...

Isn't the raptor kind of a poser truck? Like a rubicon. I mean I know you can do some stuff but to do anything real you would be better off fabracating or building from scratch.
I'm not :stir: just asking?

I honestly don't get it either. No ****in way I would give that much for a half ton truck. Same money would buy a loaded out one ton diesel.

Pretty much my take on it.

I always chuckle a bit when I see a Rubicon with an Atlas and one tons...

Re: Funny meme thread

Poser truck maybe. Rubicon the best off road ever made, probably not. I do like that they are making vehicles that pander to "our" crowd. Truthfully, I wish Ford would quit making Mustangs and 600hp trucks and would make econo 1 liter hiluxs like all the terrorist countries. Hell, I wish they'd all quit pushing the envelope to find something cool. I prefer Kia's and those fake Jeeps they make in India. He'll maybe they could bring back the Chevettes and anemic Chevy Luv. Or maybe a D50, those were head turners. Sheesh at the brand loyal folks. I hope I'm never so obtuse that I can't appreciate pushing the market or just some eye candy.

I do the same thing when I see Mustang COBRA's / SALEENS / ROUSH's with "built motors" and "live axle" rear ends.

Seriously, I've seen way to many folks take an 03/04 Cobra and put an auto trans and solid rear axle in them. I don't get it.....why not just start with a GT and build the **** out of it :dunno:

From the shop owners I've talked to about it, on the JK, the rubi isn't much more than a lot of the other trim packages, considerably cheaper than some of the higher end ****, and you can get up to $4k from the axles and $1300 or so from the tcase. Then you still have the swaybar and whatnot. I personally DD and light wheel a rubi 4 door on 37's, it does the job for getting the family around leaf looking trails. TJ on tons and stak (it was a rubi laughing1 :flipoff1:) for harder stuff about done, just has been pushed aside for the RZR racing and rec riding problem I have.
I bought my JK rubicon for $10,000 with 34k on it rolled at auction, bought the tj 70% done from one of my customers that was having me build it and gave up.
