Rear end started going nuts this past week so I dropped the driveline
and drove it home.
Opened it up this morning. The pinion is tore to **** in the middle of the
teeth, broken teeth all the way round in the center.

What would cause that so it don't happen again.

8.8 with ARB and Yukon 4.56 gears. and only been in for about 3 1/2 years

Damn,
I swear everything was set up right when they were done.
but thats what I have been thinking after seeing
what the damage looked like.
Think pinion angle could have caused it........???
The mesh, backlash, and preload were all correct when we had it
on the bench. The pinion angle isn't bad at all but we didn't make sure it was
perfect, just shimmed it to point at the t-case when I lifted the rig.
