Guess 5th time and two older and wiser guys combined with major prep and a great crew was the charm. NORTH WEST WHEELERS WE FINISHED KING OF THE HAMMERS. :awesomework:not just any KOH. The hardest one to date. 163 miles of hate. That's what Jeff knoll was describing the terrain as we were racing together. Words can't describe how cool it was racing with him. Both seats. Between him and Bart Dixon I gained masses of Offroad racing knowledge. It was extremely humbling and rewarding. Huge huge thanks go out to Bart.Andy.and Mike who prepped the car. The differentials were rebuilt and heat cycled properly and lasted the entire 163 miles with no issues. Thank you Yukon. Our crew. You guys were everyplace we needed you and took so much stress off of me. Thanks to Andrew the car looked amazing. Thanks to our pit strategy removing the body before rock hate it still looks awesome. We started 79th out of 137 and finished 43rd out of 49 finishers but for our first finish in 5 years and Jeff's first Ultra 4 race.we feel like we won. We just cruised. Trail run. All of a sudden we were in the top 25 at chocolate thunder where we had a tire bleeding air. Plugging it on wrecking ball we crested the top to see remote pit.Jeff And i decided to hike the two miles to it and push our spare backup the hill.. " won't leave without a spare again " costing us 2.5 hrs we were running again. Now with me in the drivers seat. We ran claw hammer.big Johnson.upper johnson boulderdashresolution and Backdoor pretty quick. Bart and Adam jumped in giving us a much needed breather. The guys hauled me back to remote pit where I would complete all of the rock trails minus Elvis/Martel adding outer limits/spooners where. Bart and Broke last year. It took me under 3 hours with my vision x light bar leading the way to accomplish a 9:30ish finish around 12 hours. Lots of room to go faster but a finish in the hardest one day Offroad race in the country is a good start. Hope to be racing again soon as something comes up and the buggy is brought back to spec. It took some serious hits. What a battle. My kidneys still hurt. Again huge thanks to my crew Andrew.Dave.Al.Dan.Adam.Darren.Skuba. Joel.Tammie.Cody.Andy.Angie.Rachel.Jamie.Dad.Mom. Harvey. Bulldogge.

:awesomework: good for you in alot of ways... For getting your pride out of the way... taking lessons form others(more expirenced racers) and "earning" a finish. Finishing that race that is a win..... We're still not friends.... but I might wave or nod at you if I see you on a trail now. :haha:(joking)

serious though.. good job to you and your team. :D

i looked for ya, probably walked down every row in hammertown a few times while i was there and never did see you or your rig except for durring the race.
