We met up in Ozark, MO Thursday night, hoteled it and hit the park in Chadwick. the campground was under renovations and so we found a spot, got our day pass and hit some ROUGH trails to start off. I know Chase and myself dropped it a few times. We went 5 miles in a few hours and were whooped! Rocks the size of bowling balls, verticals, downhills, ledges, trees, water crossings....I have zero pics from there as I forgot my camera. We then left to go find some gravel and failed pretty much riding all day on pavement until we finally found Glade Top trail. Did some light riding there and went back to camp, grilled using Chase's trailer gate as our grill all weekend and got drunk thumb.gif Rains some that night, looked like it was gonna get nasty, but the rest of the weekend was perfect weather.

Next day we packed up and moved to Glade Top and found a campsite and rode the 'single track' (ATV trails) all day and it whooped our ass at well over 50 miles of real fun riding. It was all new to me and I have a lot to learn/practice, but had a blast.

Then we get to Chase's example of launching over a muddy section at speed and the back end washing out and it ended at a tree. Chase is pretty beat up but still rode Sunday, but the Dirtbusa is worse for wear.

Bent the bolt into the triples and the bars are a goner. It pinched the wires to the clutch to get it to estart, so we push started it to get it back to camp were we later fixed that issue. It took out the front wheel bearings I think or bent the wheel as it's way off right to left as well

Ended the trip with some "Glade Top Trail Mix"....4 pounds beef, 8 potatoes, some bacon and cheese....season to perfection. That was some good eats! We all packed up and headed home late Sunday afternoon

Digging this ***** up from the grave :flipoff1:

Awesome pics man, I have some friends that are hardcore dual sport riders so their fun trips like this get rubbed in my face all the time. That's one motorcycle thing I always wanted to do (well that and supermoto) that I've never done. I had a Hnoda CRF250R four stroke mx bike and road it in the woods alot and on the road illegally of course, but never took trips or rode any neat places like that with a street legal bike. It was always just break it out, ride off for a few hours from my parents house when I lived with them, then come home and put it up. We had some fun trails around the local lake and by friend's houses near creeks, but nothing like those trails....and the trails were generally short. Maybe one of these days, I'll give the dualsport thing a shot. Now with my shifting foot gone, of course I'd have to install a Pingel electronic shift solenoid, but that would only be minor lol. I just wonder how it would be having to throw my leg down now for stability on the trails with this prosthetic leg....don't know if it would be too limiting for me having to go a bit slower, in turn resulting in less fun or what. I don't like to be limited much on a motorcycle...that's why I sold that sport cruiser I bought last year after I finally bounced back after my bike wreck in 2010.

Bones is that your Husky? If so how did you like that Baja Designs light? Was it alright for street riding? I just picked up a 06' SM610 and I am debating that light or an LED?

Yeah that was my Husky. Light was bright as fawk and no hi/low beam so street riding at night was retarded bright for oncoming traffic. A guy makes a conversion kit to get hi/low for it. Great light, but IMO not for street use where you will see a fair amount of traffic. More rural riding....I'd rock the **** out of it.
