So basically my tires look like this \\.// I finally got a reason to take it apart and fix the preloaded. When checking it as I pulled it apart I noticed my knuckle didn't turn very smoothly. I would like to know what I have to do to fix these problems I know it's in the shims but can't figure it out. Any input helps, thanks guys

Wow nobody? The pirate FAQ on this is down. I'll figure it out on another board.

You first post dont make much sense.

If your tires look like this \ / then preload aint going to do nothing for ya.

First off this \ / is a bad description. Are they towed in? tipin at top? wheel bearings loose?

If the knuckle is so loose and sloppy that it lets the tire tip out then you have a problem. First off when its wore out the tire tips in not out.

Second, preload is not gonna help a bad feel. If it feels like poo then its got damage or wear.

If its smooth and loose it can be brought back.

If its tight a rough, taking away preload is going to make it loose and rough.

Its not rocket science, its a knuckle bearing that never ever spins a full rotation ever in its whole life.

Let's keep the bs outta here....asking for help sometimes requires waiting a bit until someone with some knowledge on these front axles sees your query, and it's up to them if they want to respond, or maybe they simply didn't have the time to respond...
I agree with Chop on the post not making much sense, but he's got some good ideas to run thru....:awesomework: Hope you get to the bottom of it...

Yeah I was trying to get it done by yesterday morning and I probably should had been more specific.. Maybe I should have not smoked until after i posted my question.. I'll be digging back into this turd today.. Basically the front top of the tires tow out honestly I thought the picture I gave said it all. They are not that bad but the trunions on top I think were too tight and lacked a shim or two. I'll keep ya posted tonight..

Thanks again guys

If the top of the tire is noticeably kicked out, trunion bearing preload will do nothing for correcting this....Was the axle housing modified/welded on (knuckle-ball gussets, etc)? Is it a custom housing with the stock toy inner balls re-welded to it?
