GR- Fall for All

Unfortunately, the guys from Blue Torch will be out of town the weekend of Fall for All so there will NOT be a comp.

We apologize for any inconvience this may have caused.

Personally I think they're fine at the park. In addition, they were at this last ride and the "rules" were already written...so. My guess is rather than asking Tony, CAOS just likes to enforce anything they can. That's why I always pick this ride to stay home.

with you 100 % we might have a ride at mt.olive trails that weekend if anyone would be intrested .. :flipgotcha: caos

Caos blows they ruin every ride there

How so? We only have one ride there a year.

Could you please elaborate on how we "ruin" the ride? I'm serious here. I want to know what problems people see so that we can make changes where possible.

You can either reply here, PM me, email me at [email protected] or call me at 205-910-4002. My name is Josh.

Its not the rules the problem is the price its the attitude of some of the workers .. Not all the workers are to bad but the majority talks down on people act like they own the sport land and all ..

Do you have an example of when this happened and by who?

I know last year that I was riding with my friend and son out there when someone in a buggy came speeding around a curve and almost hit us head on. I asked the guy to slow down and he looked at me like I had 2 heads and continued to speed off. Later the same day, some kids were zipping down a "trail" that had been taped off because it was over the boundary for the mine. I stopped them, explained to them they couldn't be on that side of the tape and only one apologized and got on the correct trail. The other 5 zoomed off, kicking up dust like I didn't say anything. I guess when you're trying to keep everyone safe and people are acting this way then we probably tend to get a little ****ty eventually.

i just find it a load of crap that caos has to up the price from all the regular rides ..people love to ride and come to grey rock but we also have people that come on a budget and its bull **** that it cost 75 dolars to ride for a weekend.... :dblthumb:

It cost me $55. All you had to do was sign up by their deadline. It also streamlines the signin process.

From the CAOS site:

Event Cost
For pre-registration the cost is only $55 per driver and vehicle and $5 per each passenger for the weekend or $35 a day. Deadline for pre-registration is October 1st or you can register on site for $70 per driver/vehicle and $5 per passenger (weekend) or $40 a day. Paid entry includes an event plaque, 1 raffle ticket, karaoke and all the trail riding you can stand.

I am not going to go down this road. Things have gotten better IMO in the past two years. But, to say there was never an attitude problem to those outside the CAOS club, would be an incorrect statement.

I think all groups are working toward a mutual goal at the present time, riding.

not saying your wrong john.. i do agree with the signing up before hand but i still disagree with the price i dont think it should change from pre reg or just showing up at the park.. agreed that things and groups have gotten better over the years but there will always be little clicks that have their people they hang out with.. but on another note im ready for a good weekend of riding n seeing some good friends
