from what i read on various boards this is the popular one.

fairly cheap and will get the job done. I did a set of boggers with it, I removed the small lugs and cut the others. I recomend getting a big head and blades for it. The small head take forever as it cuts a reallly narrow groove.

if you want to spend more money there is a nicer one out there, its on that site too. but the ideal iron is pretty much your standard model.

That is the same one that I have. I grooved the **** out of my ProComps and it took about an hour per tire. You have to let it get GOOD AND HOT, and if you warm the tires up it helps too.

yep thats what i used worked great.

I would go with that one if alot of effort and time is what you have to waist. I threw mine away and paid cory(CRAZY DAZE)on here to groove my tires. He has a professional groover and only charges 50 to 100 bucks a set of tires. Much cleaner cuts too. Just my opinion, the speedway one is junk. It took an hour in the hot summer sun for me to do half of one 39.5 tsl, cory did all 4 plus 2 other 38s in an hour.

Van Alstine G-1000. Ive done at least 200 tires. It cuts fast and clean. This it the same groover monstertruck teams use to cut 66's.
