Tube chassis rock crawler. Finished in Oct of 2013.
Specs:
WB is 110". 18" belly at 7 psi. Roof height is 74". 83" out to out of tires
Chassis is all DOM, mostly 1 ¾" with some 1 ½", all .120 wall. The Rockers are 3x4x1/4" angle w/ ¼" backing for UHMW. 54" wide at shoulders. 3 recovery points. All suspension tabs are ¼" and are boxed. Powder coated satin black. Floor board and fire wall were powder coated, then the interior was Rhino lined.
Skins: Side skins are .095 race car aluminum and have been rhino lined on the interior as well. The edges have door edge guard to protect and clean up appearance. There are mouse holes for feet and traction plates also. The top and fenders are .125 aluminum that has been brushed and clear coated. All fasteners are stainless steel.
Skids: Engine and belly. 3/16" steel with ½" uhmw.
Seats; Corbeau Baja SS. 3" Crow Harness'.
Drivetrain: 78k 2004 5.3HO. Mild tune. Aluminum Block. Block hugger headers w/ wrap. Big amp alternator. New PS pump. New Truck pan. New straight t-stat neck. Air Raid air filter. SS throttle cable. Turbo 350, fresh build w/ new 1900 stall converter and mild shift kit. Deep, alum pan and SS dipstick. Derale cooler. Hurst shifter w/ gates removed. 241OR t-case with 4:1. JB conv front flange and custom 1410 yoke on rear. Cable shifter. All DT is mounted on Ballistic Fab poly bushings w/ DOM sleeves. T-case is supported in rear as well.
Suspension and links: Front has new Fox 2.0, 14' air shocks. Rear has new Fox 2.0, 12". 7075 2" lower links and 1 ½" uppers. Lowers have 1.25" heims and uppers are 7/8". All were new and from Ruff Stuff. Limit straps at each corner and in the center too.
Axles: Front: Narrowed HP Super Duty 60. Rock Solid fab truss. Weaver's rod shop High steer arms. 1 ½" DOM tie rords w/ ¾ heims. Dbl ended ram w/ custom mount and protection. HD diff cover. 4:56 gears, Spartan locker, new forged Spicer joints. 35 spl inners 30 spl outers. Hubs are redrilled for 5 on 5.5". All new 1 ton brakes/rotors/pads etc. lower link tabs are 3/8" and boxed, upper tabs are ¼" and boxed. And yes, I'm running the stock lock outs, so far they have proven tough and are simple to change, so I consider them a driveline fuse……I have a spare I'll throw in.
Rear: Narrow track Dana 60. Rock Solid Fab truss. Detroit locker, 4:56 gears, new 35 spline Moser shafts. HD diff cover that ties in to truss. Lower tabs are 3/8" and boxed and uppers are ¼" and boxed.
Fuel system: 16 Gal summit fuel cel, foam removed, rollover vented. Custom mount. Carter fuel pump, all plumbed with –an fitting and pushlock hose.
Brakes: Wilwood dual MC 1" bore. Plumbed with all hard line and SS lines.
Steering: New 4 turn Orb valve. 2x8' ram. Derale cooler.
Lights; Hella 500 lights for headlights. LED brake lights and 8 LED pods for rock lights.
Exhaust: 2 into 1 then in to a 3" Magna Flow SS muffler.
Tires and wheels: Recentered H1's with rock rings and PVC run flats. New (2 short trips) 41.5" Pitbull Rocker Radials.
Cooling: 19x26 Alum Rad w/ dual elec fans and alum shroud. SS over flow tank.
Winch: New Smittybuilt XRC8 w/ syn line. Control module mounted behind the grill.
Body: CJ hood, grill and cowl all narrowed 7". Custom
paint job.
Drivelines: Rear" 1410 w/ 3"x .250 DOM tube from Olivers drivelines. Front is 2" x.250 DOM, 1350-2 piece w/ 1 ton carrier bearing. Yokes were modded' where possible to allow u bolt straps to go both ways, making changing easier.
Battery: Sears Brand (same as Oddysey). Ruff Stuff batt box.
Misc: Fire ext mount w/ quick release. Rear view mirror. Locking glove box. Cup Holders in console. Master Elec disconnect.
***led as a CJ and has VIN plate.
