It's time to start mounting the drivetrain on my buggy and I wanted some input on which is better. I had my last soft mounted with spring bushings at each point but that lead to a broke trans case so this time I was thinking seriously about hard mounting everything.

Both work fine but I prefer soft mounting using spring bushings as well. The key to success is mounting with 2 points at the engine and one for the trans and t case. I don't care if it is a single case or double. Tie all that together and put one mount under it. The engine mounts take the load of driveline torque and the single rear just locates the rear.

DO NOT do half hard and half soft
Nooe. It will brake between the 2 mounting point. I wanted to go solid on mine but patrick talked me out of it. So far the rubber mounts are doing fine

Only thing about being solid mounted, you better be sure that your chassis don't flex and twist, it will break transmissions and transfer cases.
