Boonie Buster, Dain Bramage, 84Toyota4x4, Ashes, and I went up Harlan Ridge to see what was going on and were pleased to find about a foot of good ol' heavy, early fall snow on the ground. Makes for some fun! Snow level was about 4000' by the time we got up there... We saw a few other rigs, but thats it.
On our way out, a certain S-10 decided to spill it's guts... AGAIN!

Seriously, it was just the damned D30 that is trying to get voted off the island. I believe Dain Bramage will help fill in the gaps later today, as it is late. And he has a few pics, I assume.

ugh, i'm still baffled as to how it happened:looser: everything WAS tight.... i guess 25 miles of driving was too much:haha: i need to invest in a trailer, cus it would have never happen had i had a trailer:redneck: because tow rigs never break down, nor do normal work related vehicles.

oh, ya, that was so much more fun that watching my buddies trip on shrooms. i wouldnt have missed that for the world. snow falling, snowballs flying, people getting stuck, blasting mushroomhead, killswitch engage, and black eyed peas :haha:, sparks flying when boonie busters wheel came off. :eeek::eeek::eeek::haha:

the end result: put everything back together except the caliper, which we stuck a 2x4 in (mine) and strapped to the leaf spring. :redneck: drove from outside skykomish to sultan at a steady 40 mph.

jthompson tried to go up where boonie buster went down. he encountered a stump in second gear, then backed into a tree.

boonie buster called his dad, who met jthompson in index with a few unit bearings, a floor jack, some tools, and a jackstand.

other than this little incident, it was a pretty uneventful trip. TJ had some fuel issues, i got a flat tire, mr. i-just-want-to-see-how-much-abuse-a-stock-birf-can-take didnt have any problems that i can recall.:eeek:

nice pics! again thanks for the help guys. i told my dad the whole story this afternoon and he's kinda baffled by it too...

but man that was a fun trip, nothing like IROKs kickin' it into high gear, i think there were a few time i heard "fawking IROKs!" being yelled from a black vehicle:fawkdancesmiley: :haha: that was definitley a fun trip though:cool: :awesomework: I can't wait for it to get deeper and more powderierish...is that a word?!?!

hell, even the MTRs hooked up better than my tires. maybe next time i will be a little more comfortable with airing down to 6-8 PSI.

thanks, but i will be saving for the new KM2s when they come out. plus, i dont want to go up in tire size unless i can also afford to re-gear. it is still a daily driver, and mileage is important to me. yours are 35s, right?

boonie buster or jthompson will be able to describe it better, all i know is that its past skykomish.

Ya, I was ridin' with Boonie Buster the whole trip and it was nuts. But It kept straight and didn't dive off the road or nothing when it came off. All the sudden you feel the truck dive down and then your watching a brand new Irok rolling down the road. :looser: Nothin' like blasting up hills in a foot of snow drivin' someone elses rig. Thanks to Boonie Buster for letting me drive it! :awesomework: JThompson Trying to break in his leaf springs by gettin' some air... Good times! :cheer:

yep 35s. let me know if you change your mind, they need a good home

Tell me about it. I got home at 1:30, and my alarm went off at 3:00 and I was out the door by 3:30. I just got home from work too, we had a super busy end of shift. I feel like a zombie.

Anyway, it was tons of fun. I definitely like my Iroks, thats for sure. Cant wait to get back out there, hopefully I'll be able to make a few more runs even though I usually work weekends.

I feel bad that I left when I did and missed all the excitement, but with how late you were all out there, I wouldve been late for work, haha.

Also, Im still not sure what was up with the fuel pump in my truck stopping then mysteriously starting again, but I suspect that fuse with the "corrosion" on the blades since it started working again after pulling it out a few times. Never gave me any problems after that.

Anyway, definitely a good time, and I had a blast. I want new suspension though, some of those washout areas were KILLING me. I could barely move my neck in the morning from stabilizing myself. Fricking stiff springs. I wouldnt mind a front locker either, but it seems that Ive gone everywhere Ive wanted to even without one, so who knows.

I am so sorry for leaving TJ (84Toyota4x4) and Ahley (Ashes) out! I guess I was just looking at the pics and ran the names off of those I saw! Jesus...

BTW, one of the spring clamps on the front spring pack is looking like it got stretched a little... Do I need it? As long as I have one clamp still on (rear of front pack) I think I am golden!!

:awesomework:  :awesomework:
