Now I have to widen my back gate to get the thing into the yard.

Build some pinned on ramps & raise/lower via a tongue jack gearbox that you power by an electric motor.

Nice rig but make sure that you are not over height with your wheeler on it.

Good point. I'll need to know overall height. My junk isn't real tall, but I'll still have to check.
Edit: Google fu says 14 feet max. This is 4 foot to the bed, truck is maybe under 7'. Should be gtg.

I had a buddy with a k5 on 39.5's that was 14'4" on his cabover carrier.

12980 with me and about 1/3 tank of fuel. LoL

The bed is all steel on this one. Mostly 1/4 inch.
Registered for 24k.

That's a pretty sweet hauler.

I always wanted to throw a 12v in an old Loadstar. My grandpa had one that I was going to drag home and turn into a hauler after he died, but my grandma had it hauled off for scrap by the time I was ready to do it. :banghead:

This is actually a renault. 6.2 liter. 185 HP 475 or better tq. There's room for improvement. For the money though, I'm happy.

I believe in Washington 16k and over you have to stop at scales. You don't need a cdl under 26k

16k in WA, 20k in ID, 26k in OR I may have OR and ID reversed but the weights are posted before you get to a scale so no worries. You're a flat bed so you have to stop at all scales in CA even if you have a flatbed on a pickup. Gotta love kali. :rolleyes:

I believe if its privately licensed no need to stop at the scales. My rv has a gvw of 30k and I never stop.

I may not be the best person to get advise from because I sometimes don't stop when driving a tractor or crane.:redneck:

Yea if you're privately licensed and not for hire you don't need to stop. Except in kali. Its for the children I'm sure.

Even if it says private not for hire on it you still need to stop unless its registered as an RV as its tagged for 24K if it was tagged 15999 you would be good to go

since its under 26k i would just blow by the scales and play dumb. in our small rigs i blow by the scales all the time, and make sure im not in the right lane when going by them.

We blow past them in our empty loggers all the time. You do not need to stop. One driver stopped there empty and the weighmaster asked him if he was telling on himself, driver asked what he meant and weighmaster said you do not need to stop empty but since you chose to I am citing you for no seatbelt.

I fired him for his stupidity.
