So I got a boat.
1990 bay liner Capri cuddy.

Clean titles on boat and trailer.
Both solid. Engine won't turn.
Weirdo divorced outboard turned I/O

CV shaft done for. That's what locked up the engine.

It powers the lower gear case.

The one from the boat got drug on the ground. Front nose cone worn through.
To get it off, I had to take the entire lower half off.

So.....looking at it, it looks like maybe it had a little neglect, that turned into a huge problem. That then turned into huge neglect. Looks like boat may have be swamped.

Starter was done for.

Replaced. Then it cranked.
Transfer port cover was broken. Dunno how.
Fixed that. Cleared out the carbs. Ethanol is bad.

And it runs

So I got a used lower, lower seal set, water pump kit, a used driveshaft, measured and approximated a seal from rocket seals, got a new lower bearing. Sent the drive line to Drivelines nw for u joints. Replaced the steering cable.
Then reassembled.

Now I'm waiting on a trim pump, I gotta replace the blower and ducts, install bilge pump, and various small stuff.
And get boaters license.

Did you happen to buy that down in the Chehalis/Adna area? That looks exactly like the boat my cousin just sold.

It's law you have to have a boaters license. It's free until you pass, then you have to pay to get your license. $40
I was saying the course is free. If you look at the list of approved courses available online, this is the only one that does not cost money to take.

And the license is only $10.

2. After completing a boater education course, submit a Boater Education Card Application, along with $10, and a legal copy of your proof of course completion.

The seller on Ebay went full retard. No trim pump. So I worked on the old one. Its crusty, but :

The sumbitch works. RAM is fine.
So I'm only a few parts away from having this thing in the water.

Ordered the last (hopefully) parts to get this bitch in the water.
Did the boater safety horseshit. Just gotta send it in.
Its 10 bucks BTW

Once the initial dead battery was dealt with......smh

She ran out well. Still have some small stuff to fix.
She ran about 4400 full throttle on plane.
The boy and foster boy got to play.

Dog too

Ran her out of fuel. Friend pulled me back in.
As we're there chilling..... A super clean 2072 cruised by.

Wasn't out of gas. Water in a couple cylinders. Gotta pull the engine to get to the exhaust Mani
