Ive never worked on a rock but I think you just rotate the 3rd 180 degrees then drill a few new holes in the housing for some bolts that dont line up.

That wont reverse the gears, that only gets the drive line in the center of the axle.

you have to flip the pinion around not hard to do but machine work is needed

Look up fishmouth fabworks on pirate he did it a couple of years ago.... the input gear has to be turned around its a worm gear... one bearing is smaller than the other so u have to machine one end out of the housing to accept the larger bearing and on the other end need to make a spacer to hold the smaller race and bearing and that's it.
