installing mechanical water temp gauge on a yota

im installing a water temp gauge. the two sending units on the intake are brown and green. the mechanical unit won't fit in the green hole, so i hope using the brown one is correct? this is on a 22re.

The brown one controls your cold start injector

drivers side under the header above the oil pan, there is a coolant drain. thats what i used.

what gauge did you go with? i just bought a cheap sun-pro and it doenst have a fitting to fit in the side of the block

Did it come with the meteric adaptor?

yeah just not the right one

i have a cheap sun-pro and it had the right fitting. i may have a couple extra's if ya need.

did you remove the drain adaptor thats on there too?

yeah a fitting did fit in the drain adapter, but the sending unit wouldn't fully seat in. so that was a no go
