Free amateur radio classes: The Cascade Radio Club is offering free amateur radio classes next month for people to get their technician class amateur radio license.

The classes will be held from 6 to 9 p.m. March 15, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. March 16 and a review and license exam at 1 p.m. March 17. Classes will be at the PUD building 2320 California Ave., Everett.

The Federal Communications Commission requires a $15 fee for the license exam. For more information, go to www.cascaderadioclub.org

I got my Tech No-Code back in 1994. Now that code is gone, I should just max out my privileges. The tests are easy.

Don't even think, just do! It is a great piece of communication equipment and makes CB, FRS etc all seem like tin cans with string!
