I am a off road driver for a very long time. I drove Internatonal Scout 2s for a while before I switched to my current vehicles a Pinzgauer 710K and a 712k. I overhauled both trucks from the ground up. They work just fine and have helped me get to places as different as LA and Tucktojaktuk north of the Arctic cycle. I spent month with them on trails and expeditions also in Africa through the Kalahari in Namibia. I know the Pinzgauers from my time in the Swiss military where we had them as brand new vehicles. They are a 1971 and 76 respectively. I imported them and restored them after they where in service for 30 year in the army. Extensive sheet metal work was required. I built all the parts to drawings I got from the factory that built them in Austria. It was an multi year project and I used my skills from my normal profession of overhauling aircraft structures. There is lots to say about this unique and very capable vehicles. I would be glad to share any knowledge I have with interested individuals.
