Whats the deal with auto jeep tranny's from the 90's are there better ones than others? yj, cherokee, grand cherokee? Did they use the same one for 4, 6 and 8 cylinder motors?
There are different transmissions used and there are some websites that I've seen that have the specifics. I know that the AW4's were behind the 4's and 6's but not the 8's as I believe they have the TF999's?. So hopefully someone with a little more knowledge will chime in here. I been told the AW4 while power robbers for small engines are a very robust trans. when set up correctly.
