When I went to Adams to check on the 38 Special, I took pictures of the Purple Jeep.
Right now, it is located in Murfreesboro, TN, for the right offer, I will deliver in the Tennessee, Alabama area. Or can arrange for pick up in Murfreesboro.
Asking $5,800.00. Price lowered $4,000.00
Has Alabama ***le and matching VIN number. 1983 CJ7. Custom aluminum Jeep box holds a lot. It is cut out to allow for the gas fill to pass. This box is built over the top of the custom baffled fuel cell.
These are the rear four links. They include all heims. They are ¾†x ¾â€. Yes smaller than most currently run, but this rig has been well used for five years, and I have never broken a heim. There are four spares carried on the rig, along with spare links.
The winch plate is a drop style to allow for better radiator cooling. It also has double tow points on the front and a short bull bar. All this work was done by Blue Torch Fab.
Jeep has half doors. The drivers side has a good dent in it from Morris Mountain, but open and closes better than it did before, so I never fixed it.
Windshield frame was put on last year. Glass is broken on passenger side. Happened first day out with new windshield. Proves you can’t have nothing nice!!! Windshield wipers work, but one arm needs replacing. Spring is broke that holds it to the windshield.
All NINE Autometer gauges are included. It has Tachometer with shift light, Speedometer, Water temp, Oil Pressure, Air Pressure, Transmission Temp, Rich/Lean Gauge. Volt Meter, and gas gauge. Includes all aircraft style switches and Grant steering wheel. Gas Gauge does not work, never researched to see if it is the sending unit, gauge, or wiring. But, fuel cell is 25 gallons, was never a problem.
Includes Super seats. And four point race harnesses. Both seats have a hold in the same place about 2†diameter where my ass slides in. Other than that, the seats are in great shape. They have a knob to tilt the seat forward.
This is a picture of the hole. One in each seat. Has cup holders. They are the perfect size for cold adult beverages. Has passenger side grab bar.
This is the belly pan and included the transmission mount. This was also done by Blue Torch Fab.
Race type fuel filler with 3†neck. You can see the top of the ciolover mount (BTF) right below the filler. Nitrus bottle has been drilled and tapped for an air tank. There is also a air fitting for airing up tires. Aluminum box has tie down rails on the top. We used them to tie down the top help doors. The top half doors are included, but not pictured.
Backup lights come on with switch on the dash. License plate is mine, and number does not transfer with the vehicle.
Speaker box has working speakers, there is also another set of included speakers in plastic boxes. The “T†handles are a mount for a high lift jack.
Better pic of cup holders and aluminum center console. It was also custom mane by Jeep Box.
I don’t remember the dome lights working in the speaker bar, so figure they don’t.
better shot of gauges.
Steering column and steering wheel go with the Jeep. The orbital valve is not included as it is on the 38 Special. Corvet master cylinder and brake and gas pedals are included.
Another pic for detail.
Here is the front four link bars and heims. The exhaust is also included. It is duals all the way to the rear for a Chevy 350 (motor not included, but available).
This picture is on the included spare link and heims. The front bottom is on one side and the rear bottom is on the other. All links are double wall done by Dan at BTF.
Hood and fenders are one piece and raise together, the top hood latches do not do anything, I just got tired of answering questions about my hood flying up without them, so I put them on.
Better pic of front winch mount.
Hood and fenders raised. You can see how easy it is to access the motor area. Also in the pic are the upper coilover mounts. Hppd latches on the frame is what actually holds down the hood and fenders.
Here it is in the up position. Sure makes working on it easy. Rock lights are included. There are 6, not sure if any are broke.
Engine compartment.
Mufflers are small, but the sound good. The size was needed to fit the Atlas transfer case (not included) in the belly pan.
Inside of jeep Box. Headers and engine mounts go with engine.
A full soft top in included, but not pictured.
