A few months ago, I actually went back to the Acura dealer. I was browsing on Instagram and saw an Ad for the Acura store, which is now Acura and VW I believe. I saw that one of the guys that fired me was still there and he was the main guy instead of an assistant. I took a short ride back up there just to talk to him. He ACTUALLY remembered me. He said he remembered that day because it was like having to let go a family member but he had a job to do and it was business nothing personal. I just nodded and thanked him for giving me the boot in my ass that it deserved. I told him I found myself implementing many of his styles of leadership....remaining calm, giving benefit of the doubt, giving respect.... He's a great guy, one of few people i'll remember forever in my working career. You're either a freakin' Rockstar or just another worker in my eyes. Not much of a middle ground. We went out for a quick bite to eat and he thanked me for coming up as he'd always remember me when some punk brough their loud ass rice mobile in to get worked on. LOL He was glad I had made something of myself. I won't ever be rich, but If I can ride a few times a month, eat a few nice places a month....buy some stupid **** I really don't need.....then I'm good. I just mainly enjoy being an integral part of the wheel wherever I go, not just another rock in the tire. I wish everyone the best luck in career / job choices. I consider myself very lucky. A few of my high school friends went on to be BIG BIG ballers(bank / financial institution presidents etc.) and some just ended up being 10$ an hour job hoppers. In the end, go with your gut....don't burn bridges unless it was a wrong turn that got you there in the first place. #canthidethefuckingmoney
