Buy a lottery ticket.

Then have her write a letter to the court system stating she is racist.

She will never be called on again.

I use to get them once every 6 months, but haven't got one in about 3 years.

The problem is, I actually want our justice system to work. If people like me who actually understand it don't go, you will end up with all the stupid people (too stupid to get out of jury duty) making really bad calls...:eeek:

Ya what happens when you don't show? I responded to one several years ago and then when the date came I completely forgot. I spent the next couple days at work asking what happens when you blow off jury duty but never came to a clear concensus. Seems like there should be some type of reprimand to motivate people?

they dont send it by certified mail so they cant prove you ever got it. thats why they send out twice as many summons as they need.

My dad was getting jury duty summons once a month about ten years ago...

He finally answered every question they asked with, "Yeah, I know some of there kind." Didn't matter race or gender...

They didn't send any more after that...:redneck:

Does the United States of American have a national jury that we should be expecting a summons from?

There is federal court. I'm in Snohomish county, and got called for federal jury duty in Seattle last year. There were people there from Port Angeles and Bellingham, too... I'm thankful that I didn't get selected, 'cuz I hate driving to/in Seattle.

Federal is different from local... You're only a potential juror for one day. If you don't get selected, you don't come back a second day.

Isnt' it Illegal not to show up for a Jury summons?

...last I'd heard, yes.

They'll have fun wasting time and money trying to prove someone guilty of a misdemeaner. Especially trying to prove that they even recieved the summons or that they intentionaly failed to appear.

It's one of those bull**** laws that isn't enforced...just like 'keep right except to pass"

basically, I just received a jury duty notice, that's only reason I had that RCW.
