Light the Night July 21, 2018

Join the Adventure Off Road Park and Nature Center for Light the Night! Ya'll asked for more night time events, we're going to deliver! Jeeps, trucks and side by sides, and ATV's too, all OHV's are welcome! We're going to fire up the LEDs and hit the trails with Day & Night Trail Rides, Swap Meet, a Dinner Cruise In & Jeep Show, Camping, a Digital Scavenger Hunt, and more!

* Tickets will be only $20 per person for Single Saturday Night , or $40 for the whole weekend. ( Camping Included)

Schedule of Events;

Friday - July, 22nd

- Registration 8am – 8pm

- Guided Rides (Day)
* Not familiar with the AOP trail system? This is a great way to experience what the AOP has to offer with the comfort of having knowledgeable guides that will get you there and back.

- Dinner Cruise In & Jeep Show Downtown Main Street S.Pittsburg

* Join us Downtown on Main Street to show off your rig, have some dinner, and enjoy the night.

Awards for best in class will be awarded 5:30pm convoy departure from AOP 6:00 PM kickoff. 7 PM judging
(Join a convoy off Off Road rigs, of all makes, models, and years as we depart from AOP and make our way to S. Pittsburg Downtown). This will require approximately a 15 minute drive on public roads towards downtown. All vehicles participating in this event must be street legal and should safely meet a minimum of 45 MPH. (Trailer and excess parking across the street in grass lot)

-Open Night Rides at AOP 9:30pm till ....


Saturday - July, 23rd

-Registration 8 am – 8 pm

- Swap Meet 8 am - 12 noon (main pavillion)

-Guided Rides (All Day)
* Not familiar with the AOP trail system? This is a great way to experience what the AOP has to offer with the comfort of having knowledgeable guides that will get you there and back.
Meet up at the Jeep Trail entrance to the park and we will embark together in groups throughout the day with varying levels of difficulty so everyone will enjoy.

- Digital Photo Scavenger Hunt 1pm – 5pm
* Do you want to have a lot of fun and maybe win some cool prizes? Join in on the scavenger hunt and you will be visiting the park from end to end in search of pictures and other features. At the end we will have a drawing for all those that completed the task for some cool lighting prizes donated by the sponsors of the event. (A camera smartphone will be required to compete in this event as hashtags will be used to verify / judge entries.)

- RTI Comp 11am-1pm (under billboard)
* Can you FLEX? Have you ever wondered just how far your vehicle will flex? If so, this fun completion will be perfect for you. We will offer multiple classes in the RTI competition so that all vehicles can participate. (Post online to Facebook and Instagram using Hashtag #LightTheNight all day Friday or Saturday for your chance to win the most "Liked" RTI Ramp score too)

- Ultimate NIGHT RIDE 8:30pm – 10:30pm
* Loop Ride thru Adventure Off Road Park
How many vehicles can we convoy thru the park. We are asking for everyone attending this event to line up with us and let's make a continuous string of lights loop thru the park. This will require approximately an hour to complete and we will be recording and photographing this ride from many angle.

- Open Night Rides 10:30pm till.....

Trail Riding at Night is entirely different from trail riding during the day. Shadows and darkness change the landscape, visibility, and picking a line on the trail is a little bit more challenging. When you join a group of other rigs that are equipped with off road lighting, wheeling at night is a blast!

Just a heads up, this is an Event/Ride that I am interested in attending, but am not affiliated or the point person for the event/ride.
 
Be prepared last year was 105 are group had rigs overheating and some seemed to hot to sit in we spent day in river by night fall it cooled down to 95 we did get the ride and hang out by fire was a good for sure just a little hot

You arent kidding. Last year was miserable. We got there at 3 ish and it was sweltering. Then a guy's rig wouldnt start on the trailer so we worked on it for a hour and half in the blazing ass sun.
