Loose bearings on Toy carrier

I am rebuilding my front diff on my Toyota pickup, and when I went to pull the bearings off the carrier, they more or less fell off. I decided to use a stock carrier from a diff I had laying around that has never been torn down, and damnit if one side was the same, even with a brand new bearing. Short of just finding another carrier, what tricks have people used for this particular problem. I have had it suggested to me to just use a punch and create a tighter tolerance. Sounds credible....

I need a carrier! Preferrably free...

Thanks, Josh

Common problem with a toy stock carrier.

You can stake the race area of the carrier (3 rows evenly spacer) and then use green locktite. I have had to do it numerous times over the years and never had one come back due to it.

And to add if you want some assistance in my staking method let me know and you can buzz up to my place....
