Is there any trick to water proofing the connectors on a LS motor.
I got stuck in a bad rain storm yesterday and when it tried to fire it back up
It ran stupid for about five mins till it warmed up. I'd like to hear what the other
buggy guys are doing for this problem.

Re:

I'd say the connectors weren't your problem, probably a wet air filter/maf/intake tract

But as far as waterproofing connectors, just pack them with dielectric grease and plug them back together.

Ok I was thinking about that. It did it again after I washed it too. So something's not
happy about the water.

. I would say this is your problem. They make a water resistant cover for aftermarket air filters it will pretty much solve your issue ls motors are very picky when it comes to wet/damp air filter

Outerwear

My old 5.3 z71 didn't like water crossings when I had a AEM intake on it. Splashing/steam would make the MAF angry.
