Got the Bronco up to Surprise lake yesterday. The only spot I almost couldnt get thru is the final hill climb around the stump at the top. We started to winch, but that made things worse, so just got out and man handled some rocks into the hole and did my best foot work. Antilock brakes work pretty good as a fake locker. Only time I've ever driven where giving it more brake got me more forward movement.

4" lift on 32s, full air pressure, raining. Only touched the front diff in one spot, and just dented the rocker panel under the driver door on that damn stump. Lockers...someday. The whole $ thing.

Top of the trail is really brushed in with alders. Like, really bad.

Surprise Lake is one of those spots on my bucket list...I sure would like to see it still open when I finally get the time/ chance to run this...

Im surprised it is still open. There is a wash out that gets worse every year. Dont wait too long.

Now to find the vehicle trail directions...

Bad decision in my book. Maybe I shouldn't post the pics but it really pissed me off when I saw it.
