morris mountain endurance race

Yes, i was referring to King of The Hill.. the now dead local comp...

I believe they've got KOH figured out... Bring lots of money and a bag of luck... :****: but mostly money...

So when's the date.......

The white flag from KOTH has left a big hole in the local comp scense. That was really the only one that was successful and had been going for several years. The endurance race was a huge rush and I want to race again.

if the timing is right, I will attempt to show up. I would have last year, but it ended up on a drill weekend....so I played army all weekend instead of wheelin! :gay:

I agree. I really liked KOTH all three years that I was in it despite the long wait times for two of those years. I don't recall the exact reasons they stopped doing it but my advice for the future if they did it again would be to just limit the number of competitors like just about every other comp does. The endurance race at MM was a blast to watch even from the most uneventful section of the course that I was at and I am really hoping that it happens again when I have my rig back up and running.

The only hard line, IMO, at KOTH was right at the very beginning of the right side where you had to get past those big rocks on the left or go over the face on the right. After that it was smooth sailing the rest of the way.

Count me IN for the race again this year,........and I say .........

DO NOT CHANGE THE COURSE UP ANY FROM LAST YEAR AT ALL , LEAVE IT THE SAME , I had a FREAKIN BLAST on it :****:

But I will try to finish both my laps this year or :gtfo:

Yall set a date & let us know :dblthumb:

im pretty sure YOU havent been over the creek... it takes an individual w/ a few loose screws to climb in w/ me... but my home boy roger was down for the cause, and im pretty sure drunk as a skunk.... :drinkers: me and ben did it while it was wet, we almost came up short... there was no traction, would have been a yardsale for sure... i would have unbolted the tires, sprayed it w/ gunnite and renamed it "randys mom"....

i was not drunk. just high on life. also i had been sitting in the woods with a broke truck for 2 hours. i needed a little pick me up.

I'm working hard to get my junk ready. Randy give us a time frame to shoot for.

The one thing I would change about the race would be not letting anyone prerun it. But hey that's just me. :****:

Jimmy and I have talked at length about this year's race. We are still shooting for an August date, and are implementing a few changes that will make it more spectator friendly and debuting a new entry-level class running a short course that will be epic to watch. Jimmy is going to make some changes to the main course that will promote more competitive racing conditions as well. We are also going to include a side by side class this year. If you liked last year's race, this one is sure to get your adrenaline levels maxed out.

Jimmy, enlighten them on the "Bomber" class! :woot:
