Mounting coilover shocks to a Dana 60 front kingpin style axle has a couple challenges and the Motobilt MB2006 tab answers them. The tab is contoured on the bottom edge (weld surface) to follow the axle tube and contour of the Dana 60 kingpin inner C. The tab is CAD designed from paper templates I have used many times over the years to hand fabricate a similar part. The part is CNC cut from 1/4" high strength steel plate and has a 1/2" mounting hole for the shock.
It should be noted this tab can be used to mount coilovers and standard gas shocks. The tab raises the mounting location vertical on the axle to help the coils clear high steer arms on the king pin style Dana 60 front axle.

Mounting a coilover to a Dana 44 front axle is made easy with these tabs. The tabs are designed to weld to the axle tube and inner c providing two purposes. Gusset the inner C and provide an elevated mounting point for the coilover. The coilover shock mounting point is elevated so the shock will clear the upper ball joint nut when the axle is articulated. The bolt hole is 1/2" to fit most coilover shocks and standard shocks. The tabs are CNC cut from 1/4" high strength steel plate. The mounts are sold individually.

The Motobilt Flat Mounting Coilover Tab can be used in a number of applications. The tab is CNC laser cut from 1/4" high strength steel plate. The tab measures 3-1/4" wide at the flat bottom base; The 1/2" hole is 1-1/2" up from the flat bottom base
The tab is meant to mount parallel to the axle tube to reduce binding at the coilover mounting point.
