I have been having to spend a lot of time at my Grand-Dads and I am thinking of just coming down Easter Weekend and riding the trails so I would be close to his house. Which trails are open? I plan on calling Tony and seeing if there is any rides at his park that weekend also. This is just up in the air as it depends on how my Grand-Dad is doing by the weekend.

All the Gdale trails are open. They have actually cut a few new trials. There is one to the right of yellow jacket and one past yellow jacket on your left. They only places you can't go anymore is the area near dupont, but we never really went there anyways..

So the playground and out at the trussel is ok? Would anyone else like to ride a little the Saturday before Easter. I think HotRod is thinking about coming up and riding also.

I am out. Between my birthday and family commitments, I don't see it happening. (NO BASEBALL, yeah) :dblthumb:

i may be down for a saturday run...

Playground is a tough one, I never go out there much because there is not much to ride. Last time I was there I saw 50 people playing paintball. There are houses all around there, but you can still get out there and ride. There is just nothing hard out there, except Pineke Pass (big ledge right off the main sewer line trail). Pineke is one of the tougher ones in Gdale area. You can still ride the Ebola's also, they are pretty tough but you have to know how to get to em. Besides that you can do everything around the trussel site. Murphy's Crawl 1-2 is grown over but still there. Stairs is a good one, kinda easy now. If you follow the pipeline down past the stairs like you are going to 4 hour hill there is a trail just off the pipeline to the right that is tough. No name or sign, but you can see the big ledge in it from the pipeline. Then the Rock Garden's, Yellow Jacket and the new trails over by Yellow Jacket. I am the only one to get up the new one past yellow jacket on the left. But it is not that hard and can be done easily in the right rig. Mine was running like piss the day I got up it.....

Anyone want to go out there Friday and ride. We are riding somewhere else Saturday and would like t ride Mt.Olive trails Friday. It has been a while for me and would like to know what trails to hit. I can get to the playground. How is everyone getting to the trussel now? Past Mt.Olive School? Or across from the playground entrance?

not sure wht my plans are but if i can get away from work .. i will be happy to take everyone out there. we ride out there alot and depening how many peeps could prolly park at our shop

but ill let u know soething by tomorrow night maybe .

Hit or miss on elementary school parking, hook up with Dozer (adam) if you can. He lives about 5 mins from the entrances on the Mt Olive side. I always enter from the Gorge (Newfound) side. You can safely park at the church on the corner of Newfound and Fieldstown. It is right next to my house.

I would stick to riding the Gorge side, so the trussel area and rock gardens. Coming from the Gorge there is the Launching Pad hill and the other big ledge with the tree next to it. Then you have the stairs and the new one down from it. Plus K-Motion if you really want to get after it.

Then the 3 Rock Gardens, Yellow Jacket, and the two new trails by it.
