• Help Support Hardline Crawlers :

my girl's zj build

1996-1998 NV249 transfer cases had a low-lock capability, meaning a hard
gear transferred power in 4LO (front and rear drive shafts are locked at same
speed in low range).

just trying to sort out the t case and slip yoke and I read something about
231d eliminator kit works? or should i forget about it and dig up a new t case.

never been a fan of the 249. I would put in a 231 in it with a 2LO. Do some research people have been running the 231 for a while.

what about the 242 and the option of awd I would love that I love rally and
baja and some more grip in sand and gravel and snow roads at speed is
something I enjoy and its a non vc. but if i opt for a 242 are the drive lines
going to be the same placement or just buy extra parts to mod the line for
what ever eliminator kit I get?

hmm I think thats what I want. hack and tap or lathe up the original slip
yoke and bolt that on and make a flange with a seal for zero $ and the cv
starts right there.

anyone got one? trade? beer? steel? tube? cutting? :D

excited to see this build. your work looks good:awesomework:

the mold gives it character:redneck:

got an axle! went and looked at it its a Detroit locked dana 60 rear full
floater might have 488's in it i need to get it hear and pull the cover and get
to work on building disk break kit and link mounts.

if i don't want it ill shave it up and make a bridge over the diff and put disk
breaks on it and sell it for a good deal but for now I'm looking for a f250 high
pinion 44 front digging up a 60 front for dirt cheep doesn't look too promising.

the 44 shouldnt be hard to find, but im in the same boat looking for a 60 for cheap... not having anyluck either.:booo:

if i was your bf, you probably would have called and told me about it first... some would say your guys' chemistry is magical:rb: :fawkdancesmiley::haha:

Well if you werent such an ugly little boy i might have called you first....It must be something about red heads.....:puke:

I'm not worried there close to the same get up that swapping over will be a easy if i ever need too

but I have a few people hear that is willing to throw down and get in a group
buy of 1 inch hime joints misalignment's and weld in bushings if anyone else is
down let me know ill get some figures and see what deal we can do!

ya I'm already sick of those little guys bitching about pictures I'm a picture
person. dig around my photo-bucket account.

anyway what I got to day and I'm going to get some disk tomorrow. I couldn't
have asked for a better set up.
