Here is a plot plan of what we plan to do. For now we're keeping the existing garage, and will go around the side. The existing one is 20w x 24l, and the carport was 11' wide, with a space between the garage and fence at 13'. The first step was to eliminate the carport and rear shed to provide access to the rear. Had to first unbolt the roof from the garage: Demo was fairly easy with a e35. We had it down in about 2 hours. The hard part was cleanup. We took about 2.5 tons of wood, roofing, and other debris. It was definitely helpful to separate it out! Each 'roofing' run cost $60-$80.. while wood only cost $15. Only one window casualty!
