I sold one of these a year or two ago. If anyone doesn't already know this is the predecessor to the 205 and came in late 60s M715s among other things. There are a couple unique advantages to this case. One is that it's one of very few passenger drop divorced cases which makes it perfect for solid axle chevy and dodge 2wd to 4wd conversions since you can keep a stock 2wd trans and just add a jack shaft to the divorced case. Another main advantage to this case is that it actually has dual rear outputs. There are two main reasons you would want that. (1) It makes things a lot easier if you want to build a 6x6 vehicle or (2) it allows you to easily make a disc parking brake at the transfer case on the cheap and there is a guy on Pirate that has a kit to do just that. IRCC it was also factory twin stick, 1 for range selection and one for 2wd or 4wd although in stock form I don't think it would let you select 2wd low but that may be possible with shift rail mods like a 205. The main downside to this case is it wasn't built for modern day highway use. The vehicles that these cases came in were all made to have a 55 max speed IRCC due to bearing, oiling, and/or gear design in the transfer case. Hope all this info helps someone make a more informed decision in picking up this gem.
