old school wheeling pics

If anyone is ever down in the Morton area, the NAPA guys are all old Jeepers. They have some pretty sweet pics on the walls in that place.

I ran into the Morton crew wheeling up at Rimrock last October...sounds like they spend a lot of time up there every year :beer:

The 5th pic in the OP looks like Rim Rock. If it is then thats the same spot I think that we rolled a CJ5 while on strike, and now down at the bottom down the falls there is a tub from another jeep. Cool pics, my dad has some of his old 5 that he sold when I was about 4 years old.:awesomework:

Do you know how hard of a roll the Flatty took. Kinda got me thinkin about strenthening my cage.

Were'nt most Jeep cages poop pipe back then? I think my cage is from the 70's, and poop pipe.

that roll was on the old rocky saddle dropoff. it was a pretty good tumble but big J ended up just fine. poop pipe is just fine for a cage...we just have plenty of down bars to the frame. always better not roll'em!!! haha

Also that was a pretty bad roll, end over end 1 or 2 times and then on its side 3 times if I remember right.

I use to live in morton in 1999-2003 always checking out those pics on the walls there some cool oltimers that know how to talk your ear off I had some old wheeling friends out there Travis west,dave summer they ran samari's I think they all moved to Mossyrock.....:redneck:
