I am wanting to do away with the mufflers on my truck now. I was thinking of welding a flange on the existing pipe that is on it now just in case I run into a problem of going anywhere that exhaust is required. This would leave about three feet of pipe after the header flange. My question is how many of you guys are running straights and how many places is it going to be a problem not to have any type of exhaust, and finally do you feel like this is enough length to prevent burning a valve?
