Poison Spyder two-seater Bruiser tube chassis, serial #005.The chassis is constructed of 1 3/4-inch .120-wall DOM tubing and MIG welded together.
The Turnkey Engine Supply 400hp GM LS1 V-8 is all-aluminum (block and heads It has a truck intake manifold to provide more torque off the line and a GM truck front accessory group for simplicity. It has polished stainless steel Hooker headers. A new '69 Camaro radiator with a Flex-a-lite electric fan to keep it plenty cool. A Blue-Top Optima battery powers the electronics. The GM TH400 is a very heavy-duty three-speed automatic transmission built by Hughes in Arizona. The tranny has a huge separate cooler with its own electric fan as well as a gauge to monitor the temperature. The transfer case is an Advance Adapters Atlas II with a 3.8:1 low range. The transfer case has the optional upgraded heavy-duty 32-spline outputs (front and rear). Driveshafts are JE Reel and are 1-ton-plus with huge 1350 and 1410 U-joints. The front and rear 35-spline Dynatrac ProRock 60 axles provide more clearance and strength than a typical 1-ton Dana 60 axle. Plus these have been machined and lightened. Only a handful of these axles even exist in the world. The axles alone would run in excess of $15,000. They feature fluted axletubes, 5.13 gears, spool (rear), Detroit Locker (front), and Power disc brakes all around. The double-triangulated four-link suspension (front and rear) was designed and built by Poison Spyder Customs. The suspension links are all aluminum from Branik Motorsports and has a wheelbase length of 113”. It rides on King 2.0 coilover shocks (front and rear), 2.5-inch King hydraulic bumpstops, a Currie Antirock rear swaybar and (5) 39x13.50R17 BFG Red label tires on 17x9 TrailReady beadlock wheels.
The buggy has full hydraulic steering with a load-sensing orbital valve, single-ended agricultural ram and a Howe high-performance pump. It has Mastercraft seats, (sliders) Crow four-point racing harnesses, Auto Meter gauges (speedometer, tach, oil pressure, water temperature, tranny temperature, and volts) and runs a Painless-wiring panel. It has an Art Carr gated shifter, a quick release steering wheel and a place in the dash to mount a Premier Power Welder (welder not included, I never put one on) for trail repairs. The winch is fast, it's a Warn 9.5Ti Thermometric rated to 9,500 pounds with lightweight Master-Pull Superline XD winch rope.
The 20-gallon (might be 15-gallon) aluminum fuel cell is hidden in the lockable trunk that has extra space for parts, tools, a bigger fuel tank or whatever. Body panels are steel genuine Mopar parts including the Jeep hood, grille, and cowl. The side panels are custom hand-made aluminum. It's comes with a VIN and a clean ***le. It was built as a 4x4 magazine project, so all back issues covering build are included if you desire.
Also included;
Speed Glass windshield
Sony 1600-watt stereo with 8 speakers
LED interior lighting (blue and clear)
(2) Anzo 12” lights
Aluminum overhead console with multiple switches
Please email for any additional questions. Gregg
