No fish stories here. When the 53 block that was in the truck cracked I got a 55 block out of a school bus and fully built it using all the best parts....I matched everything up so that it pulls really good and the egt's don't get too high and without rolling a bunch of coal. I honestly believe it is around 4-450 hp and 8-900 lb ft :dblthumb:

So, on par with a new stock diesel? :stir:

Hell my ford is only 2 years newer and factory makes 400hp and 800 lbft. So ya on par with the newer diesels. :stir: Except all that money spent and its still surrounded by a dodge.

I was all for him being proud of his work until he had to guarantee you your Ford would burn down trying to out tow his....

There is a 7.3 OBS Ford lurking on here that runs tens (in the 1/4) and will Tow 50,000 lbs, but he's not a ****, so we don't really hear about it much

Ha, yeah right......I wish the new diesels would pull like this old one. I've got a fully deleted 2010 that I leave at the house cause it won't pull as good and doesn't get the fuel mileage this old truck gets.

They might advertise the new trucks as making a bunch of power and torque but they don't pull like it. And they get ****ty fuel mileage.

What do you mean 2 years newer....this truck I'm talking about is an 01 model. My 2010 won't pull as good as this truck with half the weight.

I will agree with the ****ty fuel mileage part. As far as pulling, I've yet to find a hill that will slow mine down regardless of what I am pulling. 16 around town, 19 empty on the interstate, and 9.5 loaded, regardless of weight.

You mean you were smart enough to buy 2 dodges? :rolf: :rolf: :rolf:

I will agree to a point on this one... Like a brand new factory tuned car that makes 500 hp feels weak as **** compared to a 500 hp drag car...

All I wanta know is are there stickers on your back window and does it have stacks for rollin' coal?

Again, I'm not talking about drag racing or pulling a sled 300 feet. In talking about pulling the mountain out on 157 at Battleground or the mountain on 231 at Horse Pens 40 or Monteagle Mountain.....I'm talking long hard pulls that most trucks would have to creep up if they were grossing 30k lbs.

Thanks for calling me a ****.....that's real nice of you to do that. Especially when I tried everything I could to get you that tire from Piper.

That's an easy one though. The drag car has tons more gear, and weighs a couple thousand lbs less.

Oh hell now, no sense in getting ass sore. Just a little hell being given. Trust me, I get enough for driving fords.

I'm not...I just didn't see the point in name calling that's all. Oh I've taken plenty of crap for being a Mopar man cause I've been driving them for going on 20 years now. Everybody likes to talk **** about my Mopars until I outrun them or out pull them....then they don't have much to say.

My GN weighs 3600 lbs without me in it and have 3.42s. Makes right at 600-620 at the flywheel

New Z06 similar gear and 300 lbs lighter... Just as fast, but feels lazy in comparison... Like all the power isn't there all the time even at higher RPMs

Pulled the mountain at Battleground with this load....hit it at 65 mph, slowest it ever dropped to was 55 mph, egt's stayed in check the whole time.

Ok, I gotta come clean and let everyone know I like ol' MoparMan and he has in fact tried real hard to help me out in the past. Hence the reason I didn't think my wise crack about a cracked dash would be a big deal. I really am just teasing you and I know a Cummins built for reliability will flat out work. I drive a $800 faded purple Honda everyday and wheel a black, pink, and white Jeep that is the definition of beat. Don't take me too seriously.

Honestly.....I didn't mind your wise crack about the cracked dash. If I cared what people thought about my cracked dash I would replace it. I just wanted to let you know that the truck might look ****ty but will pull like a mofo.....that is all.

I don't take anybody too seriously. But you can ask a couple of guys on here who know me pretty well.....I don't just talk **** for the hell of it, when I talk **** I'll back it up.

I hear death wobble causes dash cracks or was it passengers holding on to the dash ifrom the death wobble haha

Haha....no death wobble here. Its a 2wd with ifs....the death wobble tends to be exclusive to solid front axle trucks.
