Hardline Crawlers - Rock Bouncer Builds, Tech & Off-Road Trail Talk

Help Support Hardline Crawlers:

Local Christmas parade, there was a guy on here with a WOD buggy but I can't remember his name. The tree on the roof didn't make it, plastic base and wind killed it. I swear it sits a couple inches taller with the tires aired up.

I've wondered what Jeffersons can do with theirs. Everybody colors or draws on the dollars they put up, like writing their name on it and coloring the whole rest of the dollar red or something. It's illegal to deface money isn't it? And once defaced so heavily, it isn't spendable anymore is it? We were talking about that last night.

Actually that is the new ZL1. That isn't for looks. That car is the fastest true production car to ever run the Nürburgring.

Truly badass. 140 mph into a completely right angle turn...

Re:

I watched about half the vid, at what time is the 140 mph right angle turn? That sounds extreme lol....like F1 cup car stuff. Maybe a bit of a sweeper gone into at 140, taken somewhere around 100, that looks like a 90 degree turn on the map? Lol. Sumbitch was gettin' down pretty damn good though. That's a huge track, those long rolling straights are fawkin' awesome.

Yup....ZL1 did the mic drop pretty hard.....also to note:

Chevy recently showed the world that it has more than enough racing know-how to build a track car that can upset the natural order of things when its V6 1LE Camaro nearly beat a 707-horsepower Dodge Charger Hellcat in Car and Driver’s Lightning Lap comparison. This happened despite the fact that it only had 335 horsepower to smother the track with.

LMAO.

This is why I laugh when Challenger people tell me...."It really doesn't handle bad....it's pretty damn quick!"

Then the usual response is, "Well....the Challenger is really more of a MUSCLE CAR, meant for drag racing." Then I'm like, "Totally....that IRS really makes the part after the 60ft butter smooth." HAHAHAAAA

Well, slight exaggeration, but damn near it. It absolutely smokes all the "super cars"

I figured you were churchin' it up a bit. Lol. Tony B probably didn't even hit corners at 140 when he was autocrossing them half million dollar track cars.

I've thrown the old GT into a bank turn at about 120 before... It's a pretty weird but cool feeling.

To be technical... So you don't have to Google it... Autocrossing speeds are normally limited or tried to be limited to 60 to 65 miles per hour. Where you get the triple-digit speeds are in the open track and hpde track events.

I'm mostly in top of 2nd gear which is 55mph for that car (4.10 gear)

On the back straightaway in the slalom you can hear me shift to 3rd and I stay at 60 pretty consistent.

Gotcha. They've always got some weird/interesting Mopars south of the border. They kept making Ramchargers down there after they quit here in 93. It was in the 94 up body style and was really cool. Some people have brought a few of them over the border, but its mainly in Cali.
